i'm the happiest girl today

Today was an extraordinary day :)

1. I had dinner on a Colonial Tram Restaurant.
how awesome is that? having your meal while the waiters walk back and forth the narrow pathways to serve you your meal in a dimly lit colonial decorated tram. it was a whole different dining experience. service was good. food was good. and the tram takes you around, giving you a view of melbourne while you enjoy fine dining. aunty m and I got 1 of each of the main course and dessert that was served for the day. we had a grilled chicken on sweet potato mash and baby spinach with macadamia pesto sauce (it was surprisingly SO good! the toasted macadamia just added the umphh!) and a eye fillet beef with vegetables and wild mushroom jus (i haven't tasted such tenderrr.. beef!). and if you're a drinker, better still! wines are free flow. they also serve other liquors. I had all together 4 types of drinks tonight. A sparkling wine to start, a lemon squash, white wine and hot tea :) To anyone who's planning to bring a special someone for a treat, colonial tram restaurant is a perfect idea. it's just such a romantic venue! Seated in front of us was this couple who were celebrating their wedding anniversary. and next to us, a small group celebrating a friend's birthday. I even heard 'hip hip hoorays' (birthday) from the next carriage.

taken outside just before boarding the tram

our appetizer: crackers with red capsicum dip and chicken liver and cognac pate

2. I visited almost every store at Crown Metropols
who said melbourne is dead by 5pm? did you know the shopping at Crowns are open till 12 midnight on shopping nights? This newly-known fact took me by surprise. When we finally left to head home, I thought it was still 8pm when in actual fact it was already 10pm. talking bout how time flies when you're having fun.. or shopping. I got into almost every store (excluding the luxury brands like louis vuitton.. cannot afford at all la) such as G-star raw, BC, mimco, fcuk, guess, orlik and saba, and tried on at least a piece. you don't necessary have to buy in order to be happy. I was already happy trying on different outfits from every store.. but, you need good company. one that would pick out clothing for you to try and give you opinions when you step out of the changing room in something else. aunty m does a perfect job of that :)

checking out a really amazing pair of boots (the lady allowed me take a photo)
it's charcoal coloured with red zips at Orlik (from denmark). too expensive, it costs a whopping $500+!

3. Had an early birthday present
an amazingly stunning blazer and pants from guess. it's the blazer that i've been looking for.. it looked so sophisticated and youthful, aunty m said i have to get it. the helpful store assistant even loan me high heeled shoes to complete the look. but i thought twice about purchasing. you know.. Guess clothes aren't the cheapest things around. but aunty m insist, she'd get it for me.. as my birthday present. plus, there was a promotion for any wallet at only $20 with purchases. i got a spanking new purse to replace the one that was stolen alongside an awesome awesome outfit.

the cool embellishment at the back pocket of the pants. see how special it is!

i SO happy right now. i'll fall asleep smiling.. =)

i better head to bed. got up at 5 this morning for gym. yes, i think i'm a little insane too. i'm gona sleep in tomorrow :D
