Auction Room @ North Melbourne

Nestled on Errol St. is Auction Room, a cafe with plenty of sunlight, a wooden-shed ambience and definitely great-tasting coffee. As you walk into Auction Room, you'll find patrons reading books, chatting over coffee, giving you much of that Sunday morning vibe. It was a recommendation of a friend to have brunch here as Auction Room is known for their quirky menu. Plus, they're in the list of top 10 brunch places on Urbanspoon.

Unfortunately, I'm not able to provide much on the names of the dishes, as they were a little lengthy. However, I must say that despite the size of the dishes, they were rather filling (probably because my 'shady deal' required some flat-bread dipping motions, which consumed time). However, I've came to realise that I'm more of a typical big breakfast person as I found the food a little more on the fancy side (I took out the cheese and olives from my dish) but then again, it's my words against the many people that queued up for a seat as it approached lunch time.

Would definitely still come back here for the coffee and great ambience ;)

the menu is presented simplistically, but you'll think otherwise about the food.

Syphon coffee, something really new to me that I've always wanted to try. Bland at first sip as it resembled a rather weak long black, but has a hint of citrusy at the end. I just probably do not know how to appreciate it enough.
